OnlyFans Star Battles Impersonators Scamming Fans Out of Millions
CeCe Rose claims hundreds of fake accounts impersonate her daily, leading fans to lose significant sums.
An OnlyFans creator has stated she is the most "catfished woman on the internet," as hundreds of fake accounts impersonate her to scam fans out of their savings. CeCe Rose, 27, who has over 2.2 million Instagram followers and earns millions annually from OnlyFans, reported that fraudsters are relentlessly using her image and videos to target her followers.
Rose's team recently identified 371 fake accounts impersonating her in a single day. She shared that some fans have developed serious relationships with these scammers, believing they were going to meet or build a future together. The Federal Trade Commission reported that Americans lost $3.5 billion to imposter scams in 2025, but Rose believes the scale of the scheme targeting her and her fans is particularly severe.
Rose first became aware of the issue in 2023 when a fan accused her of stealing money and then disappearing. She discovered numerous accounts were using her photos and videos to lure followers from platforms like Instagram and TikTok onto messaging apps such as Telegram, Zangi, and WhatsApp. One admirer informed her that he had lost $80,000 to an impersonator who convinced him to fund "her ambitions."
With advancements in AI technology, Rose is concerned that more individuals will fall victim to such scams. She noted that many victims tend to be older, but suspects younger fans may also be affected but are too embarrassed to come forward. Rose emphasized that victims should not feel shame and that discovering an entire relationship was fake can be devastating.
Rose's teams have successfully identified at least one individual suspected of using her identity for scams, and the situation is under investigation. She warns her fans that she would never contact them directly asking for money, stating, "I will never come to you begging for anything."
