OnlyFans model Courtney Clenney has reached a plea agreement in the second-degree murder case related to the fatal stabbing of her boyfriend, Christian Obumseli, her attorneys confirmed. The terms of the agreement have not been publicly disclosed and are contingent upon acceptance by the court.
The agreement is scheduled to be presented in Miami-Dade County court on August 10. Clenney, 30, has been in custody since August 2022 in connection with Obumseli's death on April 3, 2022, at the Miami apartment they rented.
Prosecutors had characterized Obumseli's death as the result of a volatile relationship that began in November 2020. Clenney's defense attorneys have argued that she acted in self-defense, presenting Obumseli as an abusive partner. Obumseli's family has maintained that he was the victim of domestic violence.
Clenney told investigators that Obumseli had pushed and thrown her to the ground before she grabbed a kitchen knife and threw it at him from a distance. A medical examiner determined the stab wound to his chest was three inches deep. Investigators initially treated the incident as self-defense but continued their inquiry following concerns raised by Obumseli's family.
Earlier evidence presented included a February 2022 video recorded during a trip to Aspen, Colorado, in which Clenney is seen shouting at and striking Obumseli. The video, recorded by another individual, captured Clenney telling Obumseli he was "fired" and accusing him of costing her money and flirting with other women.
Clenney's attorneys have requested that the public and media allow the legal process to conclude without speculation.
