Melvin Daniel Spaulding, who operates online as "Dan the Sorcerer," is suing Amber Lee Rose, known as "Ambrosia the Witch," for defamation. Spaulding alleges that Rose, a fellow TikTok creator with a significant following, made false statements that damaged his reputation within the occult and spiritual communities.
Rose, who has amassed over 160,000 followers on TikTok for sharing "Witch Tips" and various spells, reportedly targeted "MAGA witches" in a January 2026 post. According to the lawsuit, she subsequently escalated her comments to imply Spaulding was unfit for the spiritual and occult community, citing his political leanings, social standing, morals, and professional conduct.
The lawsuit further claims that Rose falsely accused Spaulding of being a "sexual predator" and a "white male occultist" engaged in misconduct and predatory behavior. These statements were allegedly published to her followers, the broader "WitchTok" community members, and prospective clients.
Spaulding asserts that these allegations have resulted in reputational harm, emotional distress, and lost income. He is seeking general, special, and economic damages.
Both creators have established online presences through platforms like TikTok and Instagram, where they share content related to spells, occult practices, and spiritual beliefs. Rose also operates an online shop called The Veiled Arts Apothecary, selling items such as "Emergent Bath Potion" and "Vamp Repellent Oil," which is described as a shielding blend designed to block psychic vampires and sever energy cords. Rose has not yet publicly commented on the lawsuit.
