A One Nation supporter in her 60s was hospitalized with a broken rib after an alleged assault at Brisbane's Ekka, the Royal Queensland Show, on Thursday.

The woman, who was wearing One Nation-branded clothing at the political party's display, was reportedly spat on and kicked by a group of individuals. She was taken to a hospital for treatment.

Police have confirmed they are investigating the incident, which is believed to have involved multiple offenders.

On Monday, One Nation MP Barnaby Joyce condemned the attack in Canberra, describing the victim as an "elderly lady." He stated, "We have an elderly lady wearing a One Nation T-shirt who was spat on, punched and, I think, kicked. She had a rib broken."

Joyce added, "This is Australia. You don't start belting up old ladies, breaking their rib, spitting on them and calling for the murder of people and then somehow validate that you have a virtuous principle in what you do."
