A street takeover in Carson early Sunday morning resulted in one man dead and two others wounded after gunfire erupted. Los Angeles County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the intersection of Charles Willard Street and Harmen Avenue around 3 a.m. where they discovered three individuals who had been shot.
Paramedics treated all three victims at the scene. One person died at the location, while the other two were transported to area hospitals in critical condition or worse. Officials have not yet released details regarding suspects or any arrests made. The investigation into the shooting is ongoing.
The intersection was cordoned off by the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department as debris and fresh tire marks from the street takeover were visible at the scene. Distraught friends of the victims were seen arguing with deputies at the location.
