Triple Olympic champion Adam Peaty is at the center of a family dispute that has left his mother, Caroline Peaty, devastated and estranged from her grandson, George. The rift, which reportedly intensified ahead of Peaty's wedding to Holly Ramsay-Peaty in December last year, has resulted in Caroline and her husband, Mark, being banned from seeing five-year-old George for the past six months.
This development comes as Peaty's partner, Holly Ramsay-Peaty, recently celebrated Father's Day with public tributes to both Peaty and her own father, chef Gordon Ramsay. In her messages, she expressed anticipation for Peaty becoming a "girl dad" as they await the arrival of their daughter. Notably, no similar public messages were extended to Mark and Caroline Peaty for Father's Day or Mother's Day, respectively.
A family source described Caroline as "completely devastated" by the situation, stating that Peaty is "inflicting the ultimate hurt on his mother." The source added that George, who dotes on his grandparents, has been effectively cut off from their lives.
The estrangement reportedly began when Caroline was not invited to Holly Ramsay-Peaty's hen-do in November. Ultimately, Caroline, Mark, and other members of Adam Peaty's extended family were not present at the wedding, with only his sister Bethany attending as a bridesmaid.
