Olympic Skeleton Racer Tabby Stoecker Among New Gladiators Cast Members

The BBC reboot of Gladiators is adding four new athletes to its roster for the upcoming series. Among the new recruits are Olympic gold medal-winning skeleton racer Tabby Stoecker, fitness influencer and weightlifting champion Florence Wong, and World's Strongest Man champion Tom Stoltman.

Stoecker will take on the role of a Gladiator, and Wong will be known as Huntress. Stoltman, already a familiar face to some viewers, also joins the cast.

Reports also suggest that rugby star Joe Marler is being considered for a Celebrity Gladiator role in the new series. A source told The Sun that Marler's athleticism and "larger-than-life personality" make him a fitting candidate, possessing the "size, strength and muscle power to cut it as a Gladiator," along with the "cheeky personality to match."

The additions follow speculation that Bionic and Athena have been dropped from series four, having missed the previous series due to injury.

Separately, Gladiators star Hammer, whose real name is Tom Wilson, recently married his fiancée Chelsea Atkin in a ceremony in Marbella. Wilson, a British rowing champion and personal trainer, shared photos of the wedding on Instagram. His co-stars, including Tom Stoltman (The Albatross) and Matt Morsia (Legend), were in attendance. Wilson had previously mentioned taking his "lucky pair of Nike shorts" to his wedding day, humorously noting that he didn't think Chelsea would approve of him walking down the aisle in them.
