Olivia Rodrigo Says She's Single Amidst Relationship Rumors

Singer-songwriter Olivia Rodrigo has stated that she is single, pushing back against recent rumors of a new relationship.

Rodrigo, 23, addressed speculation about her romantic life in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, calling it "really invasive." Despite being photographed on multiple dates with private equity associate Julian Croonenberghs in June and July, Rodrigo clarified that she does not have a boyfriend.

"I feel like every time I go on a casual date with a guy, there’s a picture of it on the internet, which feels really invasive," Rodrigo said. "Sometimes you’re out with a guy who’s not your boyfriend, and suddenly the internet’s like, 'They’re married, blah blah blah.' I wish that I could be 23 years old and experience life normally."

In July, Rodrigo and Croonenberghs were seen together in a New York park. Photos from the outing showed the two in close proximity, with Rodrigo seen kissing Croonenberghs' hand and him cuddling her.

Rodrigo's past relationships have also garnered significant public attention. Her relationship with actor Louis Partridge, which ended in December 2025, reportedly inspired her album "You Seem Pretty Sad for a Girl So in Love." Previous relationships include collaborations with High School Musical: The Musical: The Series co-star Joshua Bassett, who is believed to have inspired much of her debut album "Sour," as well as brief relationships with Ethan Wacker, DJ Zack Bia, and producer Adam Faze.

Rodrigo is currently promoting her third studio album, "You Seem Pretty Sad for a Girl So in Love." The album debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 with 485,000 copies sold, marking the second-highest first-week sales of the year. Following the lead single "Drop Dead" topping the Hot 100, Rodrigo became the first artist in Billboard history to have their first three lead singles and studio albums debut at the top of the respective charts. She recently launched an 86-date world tour and her own all-female music festival, Daisy Chain Fields, with proceeds benefiting charity.
