Olivia Jade Debuts Romance Amid Family Legal Battles and Scandals
Influencer Olivia Jade is dating Australian art dealer Paul-Charles 'PC' Valmorbida, whose family is involved in a court dispute over an estate and whose brother admitted to art fraud, mirroring scandals involving Jade's own parents.
American influencer Olivia Jade has debuted a new romance with Australian art dealer Paul-Charles 'PC' Valmorbida, whose prominent Melbourne family is currently entangled in a legal dispute over the estate of his late grandmother. The budding relationship brings together two families with recent high-profile scandals.
Valmorbida, 39, heir to a family business dynasty involved in food imports, coffee, and media, was photographed arm-in-arm with Jade, 27, in New York City. This public appearance follows her on-off relationship with Australian actor Jacob Elordi.
PC Valmorbida's family is facing legal proceedings initiated by his father, Paul Valmorbida, in the Supreme Court of Victoria. The action seeks to appoint an independent administrator to oversee the estate of his late mother, Elsie, who died at 97. Paul Valmorbida also requested a review of transactions involving her assets before her death. His siblings, John and Luisa Valmorbida, who are currently executors, reportedly consent to an independent administrator and Paul has offered to cover the associated costs.
Elsie Valmorbida's estate is reported to include a South Yarra apartment valued at approximately $5 million, along with debts of a similar amount. Her will is said to distribute shares in family companies to John and Luisa, with other assets designated for her children and grandchildren, including PC.
The Valmorbida family has a long history in Australian business, having introduced brands like Sirena tuna, La Gina tomatoes, and Lavazza coffee to the market in the 1950s. PC Valmorbida has forged his own path in the international art world, co-founding Prism Gallery in Los Angeles and associating with artists and collectors. He has also been linked to Mary-Kate Olsen and Theodora Richards.
PC's older brother, Andy Valmorbida, made headlines in 2021 after pleading guilty to a multimillion-dollar art fraud in the United States. He admitted to forging documents to obtain loans against paintings he did not own, including works attributed to Francis Bacon and Jean-Michel Basquiat, securing over $US10 million in personal loans.
Olivia Jade, daughter of actress Lori Loughlin and fashion designer Mossimo Giannulli, was thrust into the spotlight in 2019 during the infamous U.S. college admissions scandal. Her parents were among dozens of wealthy individuals accused of paying for fraudulent college admissions. Loughlin and Giannulli pleaded guilty to conspiracy charges for paying $500,000 to falsely present their daughters, Olivia and Isabella, as rowing recruits for the University of Southern California. Loughlin served two months in prison, while Giannulli served five.
At the time of the scandal, Olivia Jade was a popular YouTube personality and beauty influencer. She faced significant backlash, including resurfaced videos where she expressed less interest in academics than social aspects of college. In a 2020 interview on Red Table Talk, she acknowledged her family's privilege and stated, "We messed up."
