An Oklahoma man was arrested three times in less than two weeks on allegations of sexual assault and rape, according to jail records. Jeff Kufi Asare, 26, was booked on a first-degree rape charge on August 12.
On August 1, Oklahoma City police arrested Asare on probable-cause allegations of felony sexual battery and felony indecent exposure. The incident report obtained by Fox News Digital listed attempted forcible rape and forcible fondling among the reported offenses. Five days later, officers arrested Asare again after responding to reports of sexual assaults involving multiple women at a downtown park. He was booked on probable-cause allegations of attempted kidnapping and felony sexual battery and also received two city assault-and-battery citations.
Asare was arrested a third time on August 12, when firefighters reportedly observed him restraining a woman on the Lake Hefner Trail before alerting police. He was booked on a $75,000 cash-or-bail bond. The Oklahoma County District Attorney’s Office stated that state charges have not yet been filed as the police investigation is ongoing, but they expect to file charges after receiving the cases from the police.
Judges had previously set Asare's bond at $50,000 on August 5 and again on August 10. Following his third arrest, prosecutors requested that his bond be raised to $75,000.
Court records indicate that Asare's name has appeared in at least 18 Oklahoma County court dockets since January 2023. These records include early probable-cause proceedings, misdemeanor cases, and a pending civil lawsuit. Asare has at least seven misdemeanor convictions, including for breaking and entering, resisting an officer, shoplifting, trespassing, and marijuana possession. He pleaded guilty to several of these charges in September and November 2023, and in October 2024 and April. He received jail time for two breaking-and-entering cases and enrolled in a court-ordered outpatient program after a trespassing and obstruction case was dismissed. A bench warrant was issued in a separate 2024 case when he missed a hearing.
Fox News Digital has requested comment from prosecutors and ICE regarding any custody, detainer, or immigration-status information involving Asare.
