An Oklahoma influencer was fatally shot by her husband in a murder-suicide event two weeks after she publicly accused him of being a pedophile on TikTok. Sara Gilson, 43, died in the incident at her home in Collinsville, Oklahoma, on July 23. Authorities responded to the residence after 911 dispatchers received a call during which they reported hearing a woman screaming and crying, followed by a loud bang.
Gilson had used the social media platform TikTok to share her allegations, participating in a trend where users create mock "Netflix Documentary" videos about various subjects. In her video, she described her soon-to-be ex-husband, Shawn Duffey, 48, as a pedophile. The circumstances of the 911 call and the subsequent events at the home led authorities to classify the incident as a murder-suicide.
