An Ohio mother of three was killed when a massive tree crashed onto her SUV while she was driving on a highway Saturday evening. Bridget E. Reagan, 35, of Minerva, was traveling west on US Route 30 in Paris Township around 5:24 p.m. when the tree fell from a wooded area onto her vehicle.

Reagan was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol (OSHP). Lt. Johnnie Maier of the OSHP stated that investigators are examining factors such as ground saturation and the tree's condition, but indicated the incident appeared to be an "act of God."

Reagan was the owner of Chic Haven, a clothing and home décor boutique in Minerva, and was described by the Minerva Area Chamber of Commerce as a valued member of the local business community who brought "an incredible amount of energy, warmth, and joy" to those around her. The chamber expressed its condolences, noting that her loss "will be felt for a very long time."

Family and friends remembered Reagan for her kindness and support. She also engaged in charitable efforts, having previously encouraged friends to donate to SAVE22 Veterans for her birthday. Her sister, Kelly, posted on Facebook that Reagan had poured love and passion into her business and had touched many lives. The family intends to continue her legacy.

A GoFundMe campaign has been established to cover funeral and memorial expenses and to support her three young children, who were described as the center of her world. Tributes from friends and customers highlighted her generosity, with one noting she was always available to offer advice or a listening ear to new mothers. Another local business, Gardner Candle Co., announced a memorial candle in a fragrance Reagan loved, with all profits benefiting her family.
