An Ohio man accused of shoplifting fled police on foot, subsequently leaping onto the hood of a moving car on Interstate 75 and smashing its windshield before falling off and being apprehended. The incident occurred on July 27 when Miami Township police pulled over a vehicle occupied by Kaamil O'Berry and another man, David Sutter, on suspicion of shoplifting from a Kroger.
According to reports, O'Berry fled the stopped vehicle and ran toward the I-75 on-ramp. He then ran onto the interstate and jumped onto the hood of a woman's car, which continued to travel. Video footage captured O'Berry clinging to the car's hood and windshield as he allegedly attempted to gain control of the vehicle. The woman driving the car continued on the highway.
Eventually, O'Berry fell from the car's windshield. He was subsequently arrested after his fall. Following his arrest, O'Berry was transported to a local hospital. He faces charges including obstructing official business, theft, and aggravated robbery. David Sutter, who was in the car with O'Berry, was charged with complicity to theft.
