Ohio Man Arrested for Allegedly Photographing Women's Soccer Team in Locker Room

A man has been arrested and charged with voyeurism after allegedly taking photos of members of a college women's soccer team while hiding in the ceiling above their locker room.

Jayson Barker, of Jeffersonville, faces nearly a dozen counts of voyeurism following his discovery inside the ceiling of the women's locker room at Wilmington College, according to WLWT-TV. Officers with the Wilmington Police Department responded to the Scheve Athletic Center on the school's campus late Tuesday evening after receiving reports of someone photographing team members as they changed.

Upon arrival, officers found Barker already detained by Wilmington College Campus Safety personnel. Investigators determined that Barker, who was working at the school as a contract custodial employee, had concealed himself in the locker room's ceiling area. He was discovered by a member of the soccer team.

Wilmington College released a statement to the news outlet, emphasizing the institution's commitment to student safety. "The college's paramount concern is the safety and well-being of its students," the statement read. "We have been providing counseling and other support services for the affected students since Tuesday night and are taking measures to ensure that no student's safety or well-being is compromised. Also, the college continues to assist with law enforcement's investigation."

Barker is being held at the Clinton County Jail on a $22,000 cash surety bond. His next court appearance is scheduled for October 5.
