OG Anunoby's Game-Winning Skechers Available Exclusively at NYC Boutique
The Skechers SKX Nexus 'NYC Blue' sneakers worn by Anunoby during the Knicks' championship-clinching game are a limited-time offering at Extra Butter.
Fans can now get their hands on the Skechers SKX Nexus "NYC Blue" sneakers that New York Knicks forward OG Anunoby wore during Game 4 of the NBA Finals, when he made the game-winning tip-in shot with 1.2 seconds remaining. The sneakers are exclusively available at the Extra Butter store in Manhattan until October 31.
Anunoby's clutch play secured a 107-106 victory over the San Antonio Spurs, marking the Knicks' first NBA championship in 53 years and solidifying the moment as one of the most impactful in NBA Finals history. The special edition Skechers, in franchise colors, feature a breathable mesh upper, ankle support, 5GEN midsole cushioning, a torsion plate, and a Goodyear Performance Outsole. Anunoby's signature adorns the heel, while his logo is present on the sockliner and tongue.
The sneakers first became available for pre-order on July 1, shortly after the Knicks' championship win, and sold out within hours. Michael Greenberg, president of Skechers, stated that the demand for the shoes is a testament to Anunoby's connection with the city and the basketball community, as well as the growing energy around Skechers Basketball.
Anunoby made a personal appearance at the Extra Butter store on October 16th to celebrate the launch, signing shoes and interacting with fans. Lines formed outside the boutique for the event.
Extra Butter is also hosting a watch party for the NBA Season Opener, featuring a matchup between the Knicks and the 76ers. The SKX Nexus "NYC Blue" will be available globally at Skechers stores and Skechers.com next month.
