Office Workers Caught on Live TV During Cricket Match

Two office workers taking advantage of a prime viewing spot to watch Australia's third Test against South Africa were abruptly returned to their desks after discovering their break had landed them on live television.

The pair were observing the match from offices in a neighboring building when a television cameraman shifted focus from the pitch to capture the unexpected scene. The camera zoomed in on the workers, who had positioned their chairs away from their workstations to enjoy the game.

Their relaxed viewing session ended abruptly upon realizing they were being broadcast. Both individuals quickly wheeled their chairs back towards their desks, prompting amusement from commentators.

"Back to work boys," commented former South African Test captain Graeme Smith. "We should probably establish where they are. They are offices that are on the ground."

The moment gained traction on Reddit, where many users expressed solidarity with the workers. "Bro these cameramen are such snitches," one user wrote. Another commented, "Test cricket is the single best sport in the world to watch while working, I don't blame them."

A self-identified Capetonian local remarked, "As a born and bred Capetonian this is very much Cape Town behaviour! Can't blame these guys for avoiding their desk jobs when the crickets on."

The match itself featured a strong performance from Australian bowler Mitchell Starc, who took a six-wicket haul to help stem the flow of runs from South Africa. South Africa had initially raced to 0-158 after Australia captain Pat Cummins elected to bowl. Marques Ackerman scored 95 and Aiden Markram contributed 78 before Australia's bowlers, including spinner Nathan Lyon, fought back. Starc's late surge with the second new ball saw South Africa dismissed for 329.

Australia had already faced a setback before the match began when Steve Smith withdrew due to a neck injury, with Josh Inglis taking his place.
