NYT Executive's In-Laws' Attorney Claims Victim 'Terrorized Family for Years'
The lawyer for the accused killers described the slain New York Times executive as abusive and rageful.
The attorney for the parents accused of killing a transgender New York Times executive stated that the victim had "rained hell on his family for years," the New York Post reported. Jonathan McKinsey was gunned down in a Northern California parking lot.
Curtis Briggs, the attorney representing McKinsey's mother-in-law, Shili Chen, and father-in-law, Shouyong Zhang, made these statements during court proceedings on Thursday. Briggs asserted that McKinsey was "extremely rageful, could not control his temper, abused his wife so badly at one point he fractured her spine, and abused the kids so badly that a court in Alameda County had to send him to parenting classes."
Briggs further characterized McKinsey as "extremely violent and dangerous to his family."
