The New York City Police Department's Hate Crime Task Force is investigating two separate incidents, one an antisemitic assault in Brooklyn and the other a threat against two women on a bus in Queens. Both investigations are seeking public assistance in identifying and apprehending the suspects.

In Brooklyn, on Tuesday around 8:15 a.m., a 64-year-old man was approached by an unknown attacker at the intersection of Kings Highway and Ocean Avenue in Midwood. The assailant reportedly spewed anti-Jewish remarks before shoving the victim to the ground. The victim sustained back and waist injuries and was transported to Maimonides Midwood Community Hospital in stable condition. The suspect is described as having dark brown hair and a mustache, a moderate build, and was seen carrying a black backpack while wearing dark gray pants, a light gray polo shirt, and a red baseball hat.

Separately, in Queens last Thursday around 6 p.m., a suspect allegedly threatened two young women on board a Q66 MTA bus traveling near Northern Boulevard and 51st Street in Woodside. The individual reportedly threatened the women, aged 19 and 21, while brandishing a box cutter and uttering anti-Muslim remarks. The suspect, described as having a slim build and wearing a navy tracksuit and baseball cap, fled the bus before police arrived. No injuries were reported in this incident.
