More than 100 New York Police Department officers are scheduled to be on duty outside Madison Square Garden this weekend for events related to the wedding celebration of Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce. Law enforcement sources indicated that approximately 130 officers will be assigned to the events surrounding the venue, with some working overtime shifts.

Swift is expected to host a rehearsal dinner for around 100 guests on Thursday evening at the Infosys Theater within Madison Square Garden. This will be followed by a larger celebration on Friday, with an estimated 1,000 guests anticipated. Festivities for the Friday event are expected to begin in the early afternoon and continue until approximately 2 a.m.

The substantial police deployment is comparable to security measures for other major events held at the arena. The NYPD has recently faced increased demands due to the FIFA World Cup and the New York Knicks' championship run. Sources suggest that Swift will be responsible for covering the overtime costs associated with the police presence for her events, while other officers will work their regular shifts.
