A woman fatally shot in New York City was an aspiring rapper who had previously performed with Jadakiss, according to reports. Julia Anderson, who used the stage name "Jewelz Champaign," was killed outside her Bronx job on Monday.

Michael Foster, 58, has been charged in connection with the shooting. Law enforcement sources stated the incident stemmed from a dispute over a family home in Mount Vernon, a city in Westchester County.

Anderson's father, Julius Anderson, told The Post that his daughter had recorded an album and performed with the New York rap artist, including on his 2010 song "Coach of the Year." He also mentioned that she had departed the music industry years prior, citing reasons she found dissatisfactory. "She said, ‘Dad, I can’t make myself do all those things,’ so she stopped," he recalled.

Foster is also reported to have served prison time for the drive-by murder of former NFL star Ray Rice’s father. The dispute with his niece reportedly centered on a property located at 18 Bell Ave. in Mount Vernon. Authorities allege Foster shot Anderson multiple times in the abdomen as she was about to enter her Jeep in Wakefield.
