A New York City public school teacher is under investigation for allegedly hosting an antisemitic and conspiracy-laden podcast on YouTube. George Trim, 43, a social studies teacher at IS 281 in Bath Beach, Brooklyn, reportedly disseminates his views on a channel under the username Cartoonking365, established in 2015.
Investigators identified Trim by matching images from his YouTube account to photos posted on the school's Instagram page. The YouTube channel, titled MMEEDUCATING, features videos where Trim, often clad in a tinfoil hat or other costumes, espouses various conspiracy theories. He began working for the city's Department of Education in 2009 and earned a salary of $110,848 in 2025, according to public records.
In one video posted July 8, Trim suggested that WTC owner Larry Silverstein had advance knowledge of the 9/11 terrorist attacks. In a June 15 video, he accused Israel of involvement in the assassination of President John F. Kennedy, referencing the assassin as "Jack Ruby" and suggesting ties to an "Israeli mafia."
Trim also reportedly questioned the moon landing, claiming in a March 25 video that it was a hoax. He questioned how humanity could travel to space so quickly to achieve the lunar landing.
United Jewish Teachers President Moshe Spern stated that "Antisemitic educators and schools continue to freely promote Jewish conspiracies, tropes, libels, and indoctrination that go unchecked by school leaders." A spokesperson for the New York City Department of Education confirmed that the matter has been referred for investigation, adding that "The views described do not reflect the values of New York City Public Schools and have no place in our classrooms."
This incident follows a separate event at IS 281 in June 2025, when the school hosted author Rhonda Rhoumani to discuss her book. During the assembly for sixth graders, Rhoumani reportedly displayed a map of the Middle East that omitted Israel, labeling the entire region as "Palestine." The Department of Education stated that the lecture was investigated and "appropriate action was taken."
City public schools have reportedly experienced an increase in antisemitic incidents since the Hamas attack on October 7, 2003. Trim could not be reached for comment.
