NYC Mom Charged With Murder in Death of Autistic Son
A Queens woman faces murder and weapon possession charges after her adult son was found fatally stabbed in their home.

A Queens mother has been charged with murder and weapon possession in the death of her 25-year-old autistic son, who was found with a fatal neck wound inside their Woodside home on Oct. 14.
Suk Kuen Wong, 62, was arrested Wednesday, according to authorities. The victim, Bryan Wong, was discovered by his father on a pull-out couch with cuts to his wrists and neck. Police responded to the three-story apartment building on 59th Street around 8 a.m. after the father found his son. Bryan Wong was pronounced dead at the scene.
At least three knives were recovered from the residence. Following the alleged incident, Suk Kuen Wong reportedly leaped from the Van Wyck Expressway in an apparent suicide attempt. She was hospitalized with a broken pelvis and femur, according to law enforcement sources.
Neighbors described the family as quiet and friendly. "They’re very quite nice family. I never hear anything wrong with them before. It is very sad because I’ve been living in this area for almost 31 years. I have seen this boy growing up. So, he was like, to me, as a son," one resident told the New York Post.
Wong remained hospitalized Thursday afternoon, and an arraignment date had not yet been set, prosecutors stated.
