NYC Mayor Zohran Mamdani to Appear on 'Jimmy Kimmel Live!'
Mamdani will join the late-night host for a special broadcast from Brooklyn.
New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani is set to make a guest appearance on ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" during its upcoming special broadcast from Brooklyn. The network announced Thursday that Mamdani will be among the guests for the show's eighth-annual stint at the Brooklyn Academy of Music's Howard Gilman Opera House, which runs from Sept. 28 through Oct. 2.
Mamdani, known for his active presence on social media, will join host Jimmy Kimmel for the live studio audience shows. He will be part of a lineup that includes actors, musicians, and fellow politicians. Notably, Sen. Bernie Sanders is also scheduled to appear during the week-long event.
Other notable guests slated for the Brooklyn broadcasts include Mahershala Ali, Paul McCartney, Robby Hoffman, Billy Crystal, Pete Davidson, Bruce Springsteen, Tom Morello, Howard Stern, and fellow late-night hosts Seth Meyers and John Oliver. Musical performances are also scheduled from De La Soul, Goose, TV On The Radio, Bruce Springsteen, and Tom Morello.
"Jimmy Kimmel Live!" recently marked its 4000th episode. The show has been a frequent critic of Republican politicians, including President Trump. In the past, Kimmel has faced scrutiny from Disney, his network, over controversial remarks, including comments made about Charlie Kirk and jokes concerning Melania Trump. The show airs weeknights at 11:35 p.m. ET on ABC and streams the following day on Hulu.
