Nathaniel Cullerton, a partner at the prestigious law firm Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz, has been placed on leave pending an investigation after being filmed in a public display of affection with a younger colleague in Central Park. The incident involving Cullerton, 45, and 29-year-old associate Kelsey Borenzweig, was captured on video and widely shared on social media.
Cullerton, who is reportedly married, was slated to join rival firm Gibson Dunn along with several other Wachtell attorneys this week. However, his anticipated move was reportedly halted following the viral video, which garnered millions of views on TikTok. It remains unclear if Borenzweig has also been placed on leave or is under investigation.
The video shows Cullerton and Borenzweig kissing on a park bench before being approached by a TikTok user. Both attorneys are prominent figures at their firm, having worked on the legal defense team for OpenAI and Sam Altman in a lawsuit filed by Elon Musk earlier this year. Their attorney profiles were still present on the Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz website as of Tuesday.
Cullerton has been married to Moira Penza, also a lawyer, since 2016. Borenzweig was reportedly recently separated from a fellow lawyer. Representatives for Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz and Gibson Dunn, as well as Cullerton himself, did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
