Tabitha Bundrick, 39, pleaded guilty Tuesday to the murders of three men who she killed with fentanyl-laced drugs to rob them. Bundrick faces a sentence of 27 years to life in prison.
Manahttan Supreme Court Judge Kathryn Paek accepted the guilty plea, which includes three murder charges and a charge for drugging another individual who survived the attacks. The sentences will run concurrently with a federal sentence Bundrick received last year for drug distribution charges related to the same scheme.
Prosecutors stated that between April 2023 and February 2024, Bundrick intentionally administered lethal doses of fentanyl mixed with drugs to incapacitate her victims. She then stole their personal belongings, including phones, money, watches, clothing, and sneakers.
The first incident occurred on April 30, 2023, when Bundrick met Mario Paullan and a friend. She invited them to an apartment, where she offered them what she claimed was cocaine. Despite Paullan stating he had no prior drug use, Bundrick allegedly encouraged repeated consumption. Paullan died at the scene, while his friend awoke to find him dead and Bundrick gone.
Five months later, Bundrick met Miguel Navez, 39. They went to his apartment, where she again provided him with fentanyl-laced drugs. Navez's brother discovered his body days later, with his pants down and personal items missing.
On February 25, 2024, Bundrick committed her third murder, killing Abrihan Fernandez in his Upper Manhattan apartment. Surveillance footage captured Bundrick leaving the building with several large laundry bags filled with stolen items, including sneakers.
Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg stated, "The defendant showed a shocking indifference to the lives of her victims and is now facing significant consequences for her conduct." Bundrick remains in custody and is scheduled to be sentenced on October 6.
