Nvidia Tops 2027 List of America's Fastest-Growing Companies Amid AI Boom
The annual ranking highlights publicly listed companies in the U.S., with AI-related industries driving significant growth across multiple sectors.

Nvidia has once again secured the top position in TIME and Statista's second annual ranking of America's Growth Leaders for 2027, underscoring the continued dominance of artificial intelligence in U.S. business expansion. The list identifies the top-performing publicly traded companies in the United States.
The AI sector's influence extends beyond chip manufacturers, with companies providing essential infrastructure and services for data centers experiencing substantial growth. Comfort Systems USA, ranked second, reported a 50% increase in revenue for the same quarter last year, largely driven by the data center segment of its business. According to COO Trent McKenna, "Advanced technology, dominated by data center work, increased to 56% of our revenue, and advanced technology remains the largest driver of pipeline and backlog." The company has benefited from its established presence in secondary cities, which are increasingly becoming hubs for data center construction.
Other companies supporting the data center ecosystem also saw significant gains. Howmet, known for its aerospace components, ranked sixth, with growing demand for its turbine blades and vanes used in data center power generation. Energy infrastructure provider Argan, at number five, has capitalized on the AI surge by offering power services and energy storage solutions for data center projects.
The escalating demands of AI are also fueling a resurgence in domestic mining operations. The need for critical minerals essential for AI data centers, battery technology, and grid infrastructure is driving this renaissance. In early 2026, the Trump Administration launched Project Vault, a domestic critical minerals stockpile initiative. Idaho Strategic Resources, ranked third, saw its stock value increase following this announcement. The company operates in Idaho, a region rich in critical minerals like antimony, which is utilized in defense manufacturing, consumer electronics, and renewable energy technologies.
