Numerous schools across Northern Ireland were evacuated following the receipt of an email claiming an "explosive device" was located within their buildings. The Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) confirmed it received reports of the email sent to a number of educational institutions.
In response to the threat, police initiated urgent inquiries and established communication with the affected schools. The PSNI stated that an update would be provided in due course. The Department of Education and the Education Authority have also been contacted.
