North West, the eldest daughter of Kim Kardashian and Kanye West, has revealed her desire to work at Starbucks, stating she wants a "regular job." The 13-year-old shared her aspirations in a recent interview with Dazed, published on Monday.
West plans to seek employment at the coffee chain next year, coinciding with her 14th birthday. "I still wanna work. I wanna work at, like, Starbucks next year. I think I can next year because I’m gonna be 14, so… I think I can. I want to have a regular job, I guess," she said.
This ambition follows West's recent ventures into music, including the release of her six-track debut EP, “N0rth4evr,” in May and a music video for her song “Aishite” on Aug. 6. The interview in which she discussed her Starbucks plans began with a question about what she would pursue if not an artist.
West also noted a shift in her childhood aspirations, mentioning that while she once considered becoming a basketball player, she no longer envisions herself as an athlete. When asked about what distinguishes her from peers, West commented, "Everyone’s in love with boys, vaping and doing all kinds of bad stuff. All I want is blue hair and piercings."
Her mother, Kim Kardashian, has previously expressed a desire for balance in her children's lives. In a clip from Hulu's "The Kardashians," Kardashian stated, "I just want to make sure that everything’s really well balanced. All of the work experiences are balanced out with just enough fun life experiences. I just want balance."
