North West, the 13-year-old daughter of Kim Kardashian and Kanye West, has expressed a desire for a "regular job," specifically mentioning Starbucks as a potential employer. In a recent interview with Dazed magazine, West stated her intention to work at the coffee chain as early as next year, when she turns 14.
"I still wanna work. I wanna work at, like, Starbucks next year," West told the publication. "I think I can next year ’cause I’m gonna be 14, so… I think I can. I want to have a regular job."
This aspiration contrasts with some of her earlier stated career goals. In a 2023 interview with i-D Magazine, West listed several professions she was considering, including becoming a professional basketball player, a rapper, and a boxer. At seven years old, she had also expressed an interest in boxing.
West also revealed that her music career is her primary focus.
"It’s like, nah, this is my hobby, this is what I like to do, this is what I wanna do with my life," she said regarding her music, adding that the worst advice she has received is to "start my career later."
Her ideal day involves active pursuits such as going to rehearsal and the studio, or performing in a large show.
When asked about activities she enjoys but is not skilled at, West responded that she avoids things she is bad at. She also mentioned that her parents do not permit her to get a bridge piercing, despite her having other piercings.
Previously, West had stated ambitions that included walking dogs to earn money for art supplies and eventually owning Yeezy and SKIMS, aiming to be a business owner.
