North West, the 13-year-old daughter of Kim Kardashian and Kanye West, has shared her unexpected future career aspirations, stating a desire to work at Starbucks.
In an interview with Dazed, North revealed her ambition to hold a "regular job" as early as next year, when she will be 14. "I still wanna work," she said. "I wanna work at, like, Starbucks next year."
This confession comes as North's own music career gains momentum. She recently released her debut EP, N0rth4evr, and has made notable public appearances, including a performance at the Orlando festival Rolling Loud earlier this year alongside rapper Molly Santana.
Describing the Rolling Loud performance, North called it "fun, relieving and exciting." She also expressed a desire to foster positive connections among female artists, stating, "It’s cool to show that females can connect through their music – because it’s always beef and stuff, and it’s never like that [with me]. I never wanna have beef with any girl, you know?"
She cited artists such as Bktherula, Baby Osama, and Babyxsosa as influences. North also shared that she is dedicated to practicing her skills, stating she has been "rehearsing every day" for both music and dance.
North indicated a preference for productivity, noting that an ideal day involves going to rehearsal and then to the studio, or having a large show, rather than resting extensively. She has also pushed back against advice to delay her career, asserting her passion for her current pursuits. "It’s like, nah, this is my hobby, this is what I like to do, this is what I wanna do with my life," she said.
Regarding fashion, North expressed an openness to trying new styles, stating she would "wear anything" after a recent positive experience. While she enjoys experimenting, she also values maintaining her own distinct style.
