West attended the Halloween-themed event without direct parental supervision, though bodyguards were present. The outing is described as a rite of passage for teenagers in the Southern California area, testing bravery and promoting independence.
For the event, North West wore her signature all-black attire, including a long-sleeved top, shorts, and Rick Owens sneakers. She complemented her look with her characteristic blue hair worn down and sunglasses, even at night.
Halloween Horror Nights is an annual, separately ticketed event held at Universal Studios theme parks. It features mazes inspired by popular culture, including films, television shows, and video games, with costumed performers aiming to scare guests.
This adolescent activity follows North West's interview with Dazed magazine, where she stated, "I still wanna work... I wanna work at, like, Starbucks next year." She believes she can pursue such a job at age 14 and expressed a desire for a "regular job."
Earlier this year, North West released her debut EP, N0rth4evr, and has made several high-profile appearances. She performed at the Rolling Loud festival in Orlando, an experience she described as "fun, relieving and exciting."
During the Dazed interview, West discussed her music and performing, highlighting her desire for positive connections among female artists.
