North West Defends Her Style, Responds to 'Demonic' Claims
The 13-year-old, alongside her mother Kim Kardashian, pushed back against online criticisms of her fashion choices.
North West, 13, has directly addressed accusations that her fashion choices are "demonic." In a recent TikTok Live session, the aspiring rapper stated, "Oh no, I’m not demonic, guys. Stop saying I’m demonic. No, I’m not." She further elaborated, "Just because I like to dress this way, don’t judge a book by its cover."
Her mother, Kim Kardashian, commented that she believes people misinterpret North's style, particularly her black grill and piercings. "But I don’t know why you guys should put that with demonic because I don’t get that," North responded to her viewers. Kardashian added that she doesn't think people "really get it."
This is not the first time Kardashian has faced scrutiny regarding her eldest child's style. In August 2025, North was seen with a dermal finger piercing while vacationing in Rome, which drew criticism. The teen has also been observed wearing face tattoos, piercings, brightly colored wigs, and has sported a corset with a miniskirt.
Kardashian, who shares North, Saint, 10, Chicago, 8, and Psalm, 7, with ex-husband Kanye West, has previously spoken about the challenges of raising a child in the public eye. On the "Call Her Daddy" podcast last October, she mentioned how difficult it is for a "nepo babies" to experiment with style when their choices are under constant public scrutiny. She noted that while other children might wear similar items, North's choices often attract more attention and criticism.
Despite allowing North considerable freedom in her style choices, Kardashian has drawn the line on certain requests. For instance, she has prevented her daughter from getting a bridge piercing that North desired.
