North West Debuts Bold New Look at ComplexCon

North West, 13-year-old daughter of Kanye West and Kim Kardashian, made a notable appearance at the 10th anniversary of ComplexCon in Los Angeles. She drew attention with her distinctive style, featuring vibrant blue hair, metal grills, and fake piercings.

West was accompanied by her father and his wife, Bianca Censori, at the event held at the Los Angeles Convention Center. The teenager presented her characteristic avant-garde fashion, complementing her blue hair and faux piercings. Her father opted for his typical edgy attire in leather, while Censori was unusually covered in a PVC trench coat and knee-high boots.

North, who has been featured on her family's reality show since birth, has been increasingly involved in public-facing projects. Earlier this year, she released her debut EP and graced the cover of Dazed magazine. Kim Kardashian has previously spoken about managing North's public profile, noting that she sometimes has to moderate her daughter's enthusiasm for the spotlight. Kardashian told The Sunday Times that she and Kanye are working on better communication to guide their children appropriately, especially North, who shows a greater interest in forward-facing projects.

“I do worry about it. Each kid does what they're comfortable with,” Kardashian stated, discussing her children's involvement in their reality series. “North loves it a little bit more than the rest. I hold her back.” She emphasized the importance of savoring these moments and carefully selecting projects, particularly those related to music, where she and West collaborate closely.

Past instances have highlighted parental differences regarding North's artistic endeavors. Last year, West included his daughter's vocals on a track alongside Sean "Diddy" Combs, who was facing sexual misconduct allegations at the time. Combs was later acquitted of the most serious charges but convicted on lesser counts.

Kardashian's parenting choices have also faced public scrutiny. In August 2025, North revealed a dermal piercing on her hand, a procedure that carries risks such as infection and scarring. Despite the criticism her mother received, North addressed the controversy via TikTok, later unveiling additional piercings. Her music video for her first solo single, '#N0rth4evr,' released in May, also featured stick-on piercings near her eye and nose, filmed in a style reminiscent of found-footage horror films. Her subsequent single was a collaboration with Lil Novi, son of Lil Wayne.
