North West, the 13-year-old daughter of Kim Kardashian and Kanye West, debuted new facial piercings, including nose and lip studs, while attending Paris Fashion Week. The appearance comes after previous instances of public scrutiny regarding her body modifications, notably a dermal finger piercing.

West was seen wearing the spiked studs around her mouth and on her nose at the Vetements menswear show. It remains unclear whether these piercings are permanent or temporary stick-on pieces, similar to faux piercings she sported in a music video earlier this year. She also shared images of herself with the jewelry on her Instagram page.

Last year, West ignited a significant social media reaction when she revealed she had a dermal piercing on her right hand's middle finger. Dermal piercings involve a small anchor placed under the skin, making them distinct from other types of piercings and carrying risks such as infection and scarring.

At the time, Kardashian faced criticism for allowing her daughter to undergo the procedure at her age. North West addressed the criticism in a TikTok video, stating, "this is for everyone that's mad over a finger piercing."

Despite the earlier controversy, North West appeared to acquire two additional dermal finger piercings in January. In May, she released a music video for her song #N0rth4evr, in which she wore what appeared to be two facial piercings under one eye and near her nose, which were later confirmed to be faux.

North West has been actively pursuing a music career. Her song #N0rth4evr featured a music video with a grainy aesthetic reminiscent of found-footage horror films. She also collaborated with Lil Novi, the son of rapper Lil Wayne, on a track titled MULA THA ROOT OF ALL EVIL.
