The Grand Forks Police Department has opened an investigation into Officer Savannah Nagle after a video she posted on TikTok went viral. Nagle, 29, is seen in the video wearing her official police uniform, complete with badge and name tag, while lip-syncing to audio associated with the phrase "white girl wasted" and mimicking the act of shooting a gun.
The video, which has since been deleted, was reportedly filmed at a school and posted under the username Savannah Rose. Police Chief Jason Freedman confirmed that the department initiated a review over the weekend, adhering to standard protocols.
"While there is no law against police officers making videos in uniforms, many police departments implement internal policies to restrict it," the article notes. Nagle had been with the Grand Forks Police Department for approximately 18 months at the time the video was posted.
Nagle was previously featured in a 2023 Grand Forks Police Department promotional video titled "Behind the Patch," where she discussed her path to becoming a law enforcement officer. The department has not provided further comment while the review is ongoing.
