A school counselor in North Carolina has surrendered to authorities following allegations of engaging in indecent liberties with multiple students. Lesli Bryant, 37, faces two counts of indecent liberties and one count of second-degree exploitation of a minor, according to court records.
The incidents allegedly occurred while Bryant was employed as a counselor at Orange High School. An arrest warrant indicates that she used Snapchat to communicate with two students, exchanging nude images and videos as recently as April. Bryant, who is married and has three children, resigned from her position last month after being placed on administrative leave.
School administrators alerted the Orange County Sheriff's Office to allegations involving Bryant and multiple students, prompting an investigation. Bryant turned herself in to the magistrate's office and was subsequently held at the Orange County Detention Center. She posted a $50,000 bond, provided by her husband, Daniel.
Orange County Schools issued a statement emphasizing the district's commitment to student safety and well-being. Upon receiving notice of the allegations, the district placed the employee on paid suspension before her resignation on June 12, 2026. The district stated it would defer further questions regarding the investigation and charges to the Orange County Sheriff's Office.
The investigation is active and ongoing. Bryant is scheduled to appear in court again on July 20. The Daily Mail has contacted her attorney for comment.
