A school counselor in North Carolina has been charged with multiple offenses, including second-degree sexual exploitation of a minor, after allegedly sexting two teenage students. Lesli Bryant, 37, is accused of sending explicit pictures of herself to a 17-year-old and an 18-year-old student at Orange High School near Chapel Hill, and requesting they send similar images in return.
The alleged incidents occurred in November 2025 and April 2026, according to court records cited by prosecutors. North Carolina law prohibits school employees from engaging in sexual conduct with students, even if the student has reached the age of 18.
Bryant turned herself in to authorities on July 2 and was subsequently charged. She faces additional charges of indecent liberties with a student. Prosecutors stated that the students involved were 17 and 18 at the time of the alleged offenses.
Following her arrest, Bryant was released on $50,000 bail, secured by her husband, Daniel Bryant, a vice president at Credit Suisse. She has been ordered to remain at her home in Hillsborough. Bryant has reportedly resigned from her position at Orange High School after being suspended during the investigation. She has not yet entered a plea to the charges.
Bryant is married to Daniel Bryant, and the couple resides in a home valued at approximately $650,000 with their two sons. Details regarding the status of her marriage in light of the allegations have not been released.
