Noah Wyle Named People Magazine's 'Sexiest Man Alive' for 2026
The 'ER' alum and star of 'The Pitt' expressed surprise and humor at receiving the annual honor.
Noah Wyle, known for his roles as Dr. John Carter on "ER" and Dr. Michael "Robby" Robinavitch in "The Pitt," has been named People magazine’s “Sexiest Man Alive” for 2026. The 55-year-old actor expressed his surprise at the honor, likening the initial announcement to a prank.
"Not in a million years did I think that this would be an honor bestowed on me," Wyle told the magazine. He anticipates being teased by his family for the title for years to come, joking that he expects "a lot of ribbing" from his loved ones.
Wyle, a father of three, is married to Sara Wyle. He shared that his wife is "pleased" by the recognition, suggesting it reflects well on her judgment. "She thinks I’m a good guy and that the kind of person that I am and the kind of father I am, the kind of husband I am, is worth promoting," he said.
The actor discussed his home life, noting that he considers himself the "dish maven" and finds washing dishes to be therapeutic. His ideal date night, he revealed, involves eating.
Wyle gained prominence for his long-running role on the medical drama "ER," which aired from 1994 to 2009. More recently, he has starred in "The Pitt," a role for which he has won four Emmy Awards and a Golden Globe. The series premiered in January 2025, with its second season released earlier this year and a third season expected in three months.
