Singer-songwriter Noah Kahan has encouraged his fans to utilize venue restrooms during his concerts following an incident where a concertgoer reportedly defecated on the floor during a show in Philadelphia. Kahan shared his thoughts on the social media platform X on Saturday, humorously stating, "If you have to poop at a show (sic) please dear god just go to the bathroom lmao."

Kahan, 29, acknowledged his own past experiences with similar bodily mishaps, admitting, "I’ve pooped my pants as much as the next 29-year-old, but you guys gotta understand there’s a venue worker out there with a 1000-yard stare after dealing with that." He contrasted his own past instances, attributing them to his dedication to his craft, and emphasized the burden placed on venue staff. The musician's comments came in response to a viral video that appeared to show feces on the floor at his "The Great Divide Tour" stop at Citizens Bank Park on Friday.

Some audience members expressed shock at the sight, while others seemed to remain unaware as they enjoyed the performance. "What the f–k," one concertgoer was heard saying.

This is not the first time a performer has encountered unusual fan behavior related to bodily functions. Pop singer Olivia Rodrigo recently shared that she has detected the smell of diapers from fans attempting to secure front-row spots at concerts and festivals. Rodrigo explained on a radio show that some fans wear diapers so they can remain in their spot all day without needing to leave for the restroom.

These incidents differ from instances where concertgoers have thrown objects at performers. Several artists, including Bebe Rexha, Kelsea Ballerini, Zach Bryan, and Nicki Minaj, have been subjected to projectiles thrown from the audience, sometimes resulting in injury.
