New details have surfaced regarding the charges against a 25-year-old New Jersey woman accused of sexually assaulting a young boy. Victoria Anne Cranmer faces charges including endangering the welfare of a child, manufacturing child sexual abuse material, and possession of child sexual abuse material.
According to an affidavit of probable cause, Cranmer allegedly recorded a 14-second video of herself sexually assaulting a boy on May 6 in the bathroom of a Little Egg Harbor home. The victim was reportedly young enough to be in diapers. Cranmer was identified in the footage by her voice and distinctive tattoos, including one on her leg. The cellphone used to record the video was a personal device given to her by a former roommate, identified in court records as “Ms. P.”
Ms. P discovered the footage after Cranmer returned the cellphone, which had been gifted to her, upon being kicked out of Ms. P's residence. The affidavit states that Cranmer was seen laughing while inappropriately interacting with the boy on her Snapchat account in the video. Ms. P reportedly saved the video and locked Cranmer out of her social media account.
Court documents indicate that while Cranmer lived with Ms. P, she also babysat the daughter of another woman, Ms. H. Ms. H had noticed her son behaving strangely and developing an aversion to baths after spending time with Cranmer. Ms. H later learned that Cranmer would bathe herself with her son.
Little Egg Harbor Police Department detectives seized the cellphone on May 28 and obtained a search warrant to examine its contents. The search reportedly uncovered additional videos of Cranmer and the boy in the bathroom. Cranmer is accused of posting at least one of these videos on Snapchat. Cranmer was arrested and booked into the Ocean County Jail.
