Victoria Anne Cranmer, 25, appeared in a Toms River courtroom on Monday facing charges of sexually abusing a child, manufacturing and possession of child sexual abuse material, and endangering. Assistant Ocean County Prosecutor Lynn Juan stated that the primary evidence in the case is a Snapchat video allegedly showing Cranmer laughing while a child touched her private parts.

Cranmer, who appeared in pink handcuffs and seemed on the verge of tears, could face more than 30 years in prison if convicted of all charges. Prosecutors and Cranmer's lawyer are reportedly working to finalize the details of a potential plea deal, but require additional time.

Court documents indicate that at least one other mother, whose children Cranmer watched, had previously expressed concerns about her. Cranmer's appearance in court was for a brief hearing regarding the ongoing case.
