Nine people, including two children, were killed in a shooting in Erie, Pennsylvania, on Friday evening, according to reports.
Authorities discovered two women dead in the street after responding to calls about gunfire. The incident escalated into a standoff when the suspected gunman barricaded himself inside a home. Police later entered the property and found additional victims, including children, throughout the residence.
Erie Police Chief Rick Lorah described the scene as one of the worst he had encountered in his 28 years of policing.
