Nikki Glaser, a self-proclaimed "Swiftie," revealed that she nearly took a cake topper from Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's wedding, recounting the tale during a recent stand-up performance. Glaser was among the approximately 1,000 guests invited to the July 3 ceremony, which took place at Madison Square Garden in New York City.
During her set at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, Glaser described her impulse to take a memento from the event. "I got really close to stealing something from it because I was, like, 'I want one cool artifact from this,'" she said, as reported by Us Weekly. The item in question was a cake topper resembling Kelce, which she almost placed in her purse.
Glaser humorously recounted that a voice, which she likened to Tom Cruise's, seemed to tell her, "Put me down!" This intervention, she quipped, prevented the souvenir-snatching.
A Star-Studded Ceremony
The wedding ceremony, officiated by Adam Sandler, was attended by numerous high-profile guests, including Selena Gomez, Brad Pitt, and Jennifer Lopez. Glaser noted that the event's strict privacy measures, including a mandatory cell phone check at the entrance, meant guests had no photographic evidence of the celebration. "I go in, and I have no pictures. It sucks so much because it was the best night of my life as a Swiftie, like, the coolest thing I've ever seen. The purest love I've ever witnessed, and I have no pictures [and] no evidence," she shared.
Glaser also detailed how she received the invitation via text and, like other attendees, signed a non-disclosure agreement. She explained that her 12-hour absence from her phone led friends and family to worry she had been harmed, unaware she was at the high-profile wedding.
She also mentioned interacting with Jennifer Lopez at the event, describing how Lopez allegedly threw her coat to Glaser and that they spent time together. Glaser, who first met Swift in 2012, expressed her excitement at being invited to the wedding, despite not being a close personal friend of the couple.
