Nike Unveils High-Tech Recovery Slides with Heat and Massage Features
The Nike Air Zoom Hyperslide, a collaboration with Hyperice, aims to provide athletes with advanced muscle relief.
Nike has introduced the Air Zoom Hyperslide, a new recovery shoe designed to offer heat and vibration massage for tired feet. The slides, a product of a second collaboration with Hyperice, a company specializing in recovery technology, are intended to soothe muscle tension and aid in post-exercise recovery.
The slides feature a magnetic pod inserted into a Velcro flap. This pod delivers targeted heat and vibration, with three adjustable heat levels ranging from 109°F to 117°F and three vibration settings. Users can control these features via buttons on the pod or through the Hyperice app.
In addition to the recovery features, the Hyperslides incorporate Nike's Air Zoom cushioning, designed for comfort and support. The combination aims to provide a plush feel underfoot, described by one reviewer as walking on clouds. The shoes are available in men's sizes 4-18 and women's 5-19, in two color options.
According to initial reviews, the slides can be worn both indoors and outdoors, making them a convenient option for athletes needing recovery on the go. However, a notable drawback is the battery life of the magnetic pods. While the brand states up to one hour of use on maximum heat and vibration settings, or up to eight hours on vibration only, users may find themselves needing to recharge more frequently if using both features simultaneously. Even without the heat and vibration, the slides are reported to be comfortable.
This release follows the previous Nike and Hyperice collaboration, the Hyperboot, which launched in May 2025 and combined heat and compression for muscle recovery. The Hyperboot offered three heat levels and three Normatec compression levels.
The Nike Air Zoom Hyperslide is positioned as a high-tech solution for athletes, particularly those experiencing muscle soreness, arthritis, or tendonitis. Despite a higher price point, the innovative recovery features are suggested to be a worthwhile investment for individuals seeking advanced muscle relief.
