The NFL and Nike are expanding their successful "Nike x NFL Rivalries" uniform program for the 2026 season, introducing distinct designs for eight new teams. This initiative, manufactured and sold by Fanatics, aims to strengthen the connection between fans and their teams.
The eight participating teams are from the AFC South – the Houston Texans, Tennessee Titans, Jacksonville Jaguars, and Indianapolis Colts – and the NFC North – the Chicago Bears, Minnesota Vikings, Detroit Lions, and Green Bay Packers.
"Revealing eight new Rivalries uniforms marks the next chapter in a program that is beloved by fans across the NFL and Nike," Taryn Hutt, vice president of club marketing for the NFL, stated. "By spotlighting the launch of the AFC South and NFC North Clubs and the passionate communities behind them, we continue to capture the spirit and tradition of football’s greatest divisional rivalries."
The program's initial launch in the previous season became Fanatics' best-selling merchandise release to date, indicating strong fan demand and paving the way for the 2026 sequel.
Uniform Debuts and Design Inspirations
The new uniforms are scheduled to be debuted during an upcoming home game against a division rival. The schedule is as follows:
-
Colts vs. Texans: Week 3 (Sept. 27). The Colts' uniform amps up their classic look with enhanced stripes and dark tones, incorporating horseshoe, iron work, and anvil-inspired details.
-
Packers vs. Bears: Week 5 (Oct. 11). Celebrating the Packers' fan ownership, this design features stock certificate-inspired details with vintage green and alabaster tones.
-
Lions vs. Vikings: Week 8 (Nov. 1). The Lions' uniform takes a futuristic approach with Honolulu blue and carbon-fiber-inspired numbers, nodding to Detroit's automotive heritage. The Vikings' design draws on Norse history with deep purple and ivory, featuring carved numbers and Viking Knot-inspired details.
-
Jaguars vs. Colts: Week 8 (Nov. 1). This design blends Florida coastal culture with urban swagger, featuring a custom Jaguars script, jaguar-print details, and chrome accents.
-
Titans vs. Jaguars: Week 10 (Nov. 15). The Titans' uniform blends their Two Tone Blue heritage with Nashville's music culture, using a navy base with neon-inspired numbers and guitar/amplifier-inspired striping.
-
Texans vs. Colts: Week 11 (Nov. 19). The all-white "iced out" uniform celebrates Houston culture with metallic and chrome finishes inspired by the city’s custom car scene.
-
Vikings vs. Lions: Week 15 (Dec. 20). The Vikings' uniform incorporates references to the Gjallarhorn and longship, creating a look that is both ancestral and modern.
-
Bears vs. Packers: Week 16 (Dec. 25). The Bears' design updates their heritage with a midnight palette and burnt orange accents, inspired by classic team design and the Chicago flag.
Program Longevity and Community Engagement
These Rivalries uniforms will be part of each team's lineup for three years, in addition to their existing alternate uniforms. Further expansion is planned for the 2027 and 2028 seasons, with additional teams set to debut their own Rivalries uniforms. The eight teams from the 2025 program will also wear their uniforms during select games against division rivals this season.
The launch includes visual campaigns that showcase the new uniforms within the communities of each rivalry. These campaigns feature current players alongside homegrown talent, including musicians from the respective cities. Fans can purchase the new merchandise starting September 1.
