Nicole Scherzinger has shared an update on the burns she sustained from boiling water, revealing how she prepares to take the stage following the accident. The Pussycat Dolls singer, 48, posted pictures of scars on her leg more than a week after the incident, which occurred an hour before a scheduled performance in Düsseldorf.
Scherzinger shared glamorous photos of herself after professional hair and makeup, accompanied by the caption, "What they see vs. what they don't see..." She received a supportive message from American singer Gloria Gaynor, who called her a "warrior."
The performer was left with burns and blisters down her leg after boiling water spilled on her. Despite the injury, Scherzinger has continued with the UK and Ireland leg of the PCD Forever tour.
During a recent gig in Dublin, Scherzinger showed no outward signs of discomfort as she joined bandmates Ashley Roberts and Kimberly Wyatt on stage, drinking a pint of Guinness between performances.
Last Sunday, a day after the accident, Scherzinger had initially posted a picture of her burns and blisters, stating, "Nothing like boiling water falling on your leg an hour before your set - but the show must go on."
The Pussycat Dolls' comeback tour has faced challenges, including the cancellation of their entire US and Canadian leg due to low ticket sales. The band announced the decision to cancel 33 dates after arenas were reportedly 80% empty. Despite reducing ticket prices to $30, organizers were unable to salvage the North American shows, which were scheduled to begin in Palm Desert, California, on June 5.
In a statement shared on Instagram, the band cited an "honest look at the North American run" as the reason for the cancellation. They noted that the UK and European dates were proceeding as planned, with a strong response and several sold-out shows. The group expressed their commitment to creating a celebratory show for their fans.
The trio commenced their tour in Copenhagen in September, followed by shows in Paris, Warsaw, and the UK. Ticket holders were informed of refunds, with those who purchased through third-party resellers advised to contact their point of purchase.
The Pussycat Dolls' reunion has also been marked by controversy due to the exclusion of founding members Carmit Bachar, Jessica Sutta, and Melody Thornton. Bachar and Sutta have stated they were blindsided by the reunion and were not invited to participate, with Sutta calling it a "cash grab."
