Nicole Kidman recently offered her followers a rare look at her natural hair texture while on a European vacation with her sister, Antonia Kidman. The 59-year-old actress appeared relaxed during her stay in Portofino, Italy, where she visited the Splendido, A Belmond Hotel.

During the Italian trip, Kidman opted to wear her strawberry blonde hair loose, a departure from the more polished styles often seen on the red carpet. One photograph captured her relaxing on an outdoor lounge, showcasing her textured locks. Another image showed her hair styled in a loose high ponytail. Kidman captioned the post with sun emojis and tagged the hotel.

The Oscar winner spent time with her sister on the Italian Riviera, including a yacht excursion off the coast of Portofino to celebrate Antonia's 55th birthday. Earlier in the trip, Kidman was photographed by the hotel pool wearing a pale blue shirt and shorts, accessorized with sunglasses, Chanel flats, and a neck scarf, while enjoying an Aperol Spritz.

Kidman's natural hair appearance contrasts with many of her recent public appearances, where her hair has been styled in various ways, including long waves and updos. She has infrequently showcased her natural hair in films or on the red carpet since the beginning of her career, often utilizing wigs for roles and public events. This has led to online discussion, as was noted by fans at the 2025 Cannes Film Festival when glimpses of her natural hair and wig's lace front were visible. In January, she wore a wig for Paris Fashion Week, and in May 2025, she sported a dramatic look at the Met Gala, clarifying that she had not cut her hair.
