Nicole Kidman, 59, is embracing a new, "casual" romance with Los Angeles-based businessman Michael Reinstein, a source told Us Weekly. This development comes after the actress finalized her divorce from country star Keith Urban and has been navigating post-divorce life.
Kidman and Reinstein were reportedly set up by mutual friends. "It is casual, and she is having fun," a source close to the actress said. In late July, the pair were seen on a romantic getaway to Portofino, Italy, and have since returned to Los Angeles, where Kidman has been occupied with promotional activities for her film "Practical Magic 2."
Reinstein is the founder, chairman, and CEO of Regent, a global private equity firm he established in 2013. He is a native of Los Angeles.
Kidman and Urban, 58, were married for 19 years before she filed for divorce in September 2025, with their split publicly announced the same month. The couple shares two teenage daughters, Sunday Rose, 18, and Faith Margaret, 15. Kidman also has two adopted adult children, Bella and Connor, from her previous marriage to Tom Cruise.
According to reports, Kidman's relationship with her ex-husband has improved since the divorce. "The dust has really settled" and the former couple are "in a much better place now," with "a lot of respect between them," an insider noted. The divorce was finalized earlier in 2026.
During her transition, Kidman reportedly leaned on close friends Reese Witherspoon and Sandra Bullock. Filming "Practical Magic 2" with Bullock also provided a sense of familiarity and a welcome distraction during a period of significant life changes. Kidman has expressed optimism about her current chapter, stating in a March interview that she is focused on moving "toward what's good" and cherishing her family.
