Nicole Kidman was among the celebrities who participated in the annual Cantor Fitzgerald Relief Fund Charity Day in New York City on Friday, an event aimed at raising millions of dollars. The actress, 59, took to the trading floor at BGC Group, engaging with clients and investors to facilitate multimillion-dollar deals.
The event honored the 25th anniversary of the September 11 attacks. The Cantor Fitzgerald Relief Fund Charity Day commemorates the 658 Cantor Fitzgerald employees who lost their lives in the 2001 attacks on the World Trade Center. Annually, the company dedicates all trading revenues generated on Charity Day to the fund.
Kidman, dressed in a brown suit, joined other notable figures such as Alix Earle, Viola Davis, and Nicki Minaj in supporting the fundraising efforts. The actress maintained a toned-down makeup look and wore her blonde hair in loose waves.
A similar event took place in London, where actors Dame Helen Mirren and Tom Hardy also participated in the fundraising activities at BGC's Canary Wharf offices. These events have collectively raised over $234 million for approximately 1,000 charities globally since their inception.
Cantor Fitzgerald and BGC Group stated that celebrity ambassadors are invited to their trading floors to represent charities significant to their families, employees, clients, and communities. This initiative aims to pay forward the kindness received in the aftermath of 9/11, with past ambassadors including actors, musicians, sports figures, models, media personalities, and politicians.
