Baywatch star Nicole Eggert has spoken out about what she describes as the "mistreatment" she endured during a 1995 appearance on The Howard Stern Show. Resurfaced footage from the interview shows Stern commenting on Eggert's attire and body, including asking her to change into a bikini and discussing the size of her breasts.

Eggert, 54, reflected on the decades-old interview in Greg Prato's new book, "The Great American Nightmare: An Oral History of The Howard Stern Show." The actress, who gained fame as a lifeguard on the popular drama series, appeared on Stern's show shortly after rising to prominence.

According to the book and resurfaced clips, Stern expressed disappointment with Eggert's choice of clothing for the interview, which consisted of jeans and a Rolling Stones T-shirt. He asked if she would "slip into a swimsuit," a request that Eggert found uncomfortable.

"Watching old clips of the show and seeing how many women were treated – or more fittingly, mistreated – is shocking," Eggert stated in the book. "I was very programmed to just go in and just let it slide off your back. I wish I could just like, reach out and hug that girl."

Footage from the interview depicted Eggert appearing visibly taken aback by the exchange. As she waited to go on air, Stern and his co-hosts discussed her outfit. Stern commented that her attire was "so out" and suggested she change into something more revealing, inquiring if she would "slip into a swimsuit."

Upon entering the studio, Stern remarked on her "dressed down" appearance and pressed her about why she wasn't wearing a bikini. Eggert responded that she was not wearing one and that it was early in the morning. Stern then asked her to prove she wasn't wearing a bra, before shifting the conversation to her decision to have breast implants removed.

During this discussion, Stern made comments about her breasts, stating, "I mean you still got nice breasts if you don't mind me commenting. Although I did like those big cans." Eggert explained that she wanted to "feel feminine," to which Stern replied that her outfit was "not feminine" and "not even flattering," questioning if she no longer wanted to be a "sex symbol."

Eggert maintained that her chosen outfit was "comfortable." The Daily Mail has reached out to Howard Stern for comment.
